Hitting the links in Victoria, Texas

If you are a fan of golf, then Victoria has plenty to offer you. The city boasts three golf courses: two open to the public and one private club. That’s a lot of golf for a city this size. The courses range from municipal courses to exclusive private clubs, so you can choose the golf environment that fits your personal style.

Riverside Golf Course is owned by the City of Victoria and has the lowest price for golf in Victoria. It offers 27 holes of golf played in three different 18-hole combinations, all of which have a 72 par. The course offers snacks and beverages in the clubhouse, and also has a fully equipped pro shop. Marshals are on the course to regulate play and assist visitors.

Colony Creek was originally built as a private club, but has been open to the public for several years now. You’ll find most of the amenities you’d expect at a country club without having to buy a membership. Colony Creek offers an 18-hole, par 71 golf course. It also has a driving range and putting green, a full-service restaurant and bar, a members-only swimming pool and a pro shop.

Victoria Country Club is the most exclusive golf course in Victoria. Membership is required. The club is home to an 18-hole, par 72 course that has been the site of Texas PGA Championship tournaments. Its practice facilities include a driving range, putting range and chipping green with sandboxes. It also has a complete restaurant, tennis courts, and a pro shop.

If you want a change of pace, you can find even more golf just a short drive away in towns like Goliad and Edna. And given our mild Gulf Coast climate, you’ll have a lot more days of the year to enjoy playing.
