Any time you move to a new town, it takes a while to find the places that will become part of your regular routine. Even moving across town can require a bit of exploration to find your new favorite places to frequent. Here’s where you can find two of the necessities of daily living.
Groceries
Victoria has four major places to buy your groceries, including three from national chains and one local enterprise.
H-E-B
Texas grocery chain H-E-B has locations uptown and downtown to meet your shopping needs. At the uptown location, you’ll enjoy all the added amenities of the H-E-B Plus expanded store that includes entertainment products and electronics in addition to an expanded food offerings. The downtown location offers a convenient location with all the amenities you’d expect from a supermarket.
Wal-Mart SuperCenter
At the Wal-Mart SuperCenter, you can find groceries and just about anything else you need.
Dick’s Food Store
If you favor an alternative to big-box chain stores, then check out Dick’s Crestwood Food Store, a fully stocked, locally owned grocery store. The firm prides itself on convenience, personal customer service, and some of the best cuts of meat in the city.
Coffee
Starbucks
Victoria has two outposts for the kingdom of coffee: a freestanding location near the intersection of Navarro Street and Loop 463, and the second inside Target, just up the street. The freestanding location has a drive-thru so you can get coffee on the way to work or wherever else you are headed in the morning.
Hardback Café
Located inside Hastings Books, Music & Video, The Hardback Café offers the full menu of coffee house delights, along with free wireless internet access. It has a drive-thru for your convenience. In addition, the shop hosts classic coffee house events like open mic nights.
LongLeaf Coffee Company
In the heart of historic downtown Victoria on Main street, the LongLeaf Coffee Company is owned by locals and offers great coffee and the most delicious baked goods.
I hope you find the above information helpful for your next trip out for groceries or coffee!
