• Victoria, Texas Housing Market: 2011 Year End Update

     

    The housing market continues to improve in the Victoria area. 2011 ended well above 2010 in units sold, dollar volume and price. This is significant since the first half of 2010 was stimulated by the “First Time Buyer Tax Credit”. Additionally, we saw month over month improvements throughout the year. This trend establishes that the local housing market has recovered and is moving forward at a fairly brisk pace.

  • November 2011 Housing Market Update for Victoria, Texas

    This month's report continues to show improvement in every market indicator. The pace remains steady at about a 10% growth over last year. The only area of concern is inventory. Typically, at this time of year we see the inventory building. That is not the case this year.     Year to date numbers are moving ahead of last year, despite the fact that last years numbers were stimulated by federal tax credits. This market continues to improve despite stringent underwriting by lenders. This confirms our contention that the market is driven by jobs.
